Expansion of Services Assessment

This assessment process is for adding additional pharmacy services to a pharmacy's accreditation within the two-yearly cycle.

All assessable services under Quality Care 2020 can be assessed under the Expansion of Services assessment.

Examples of pharmacy services include:

  • Vaccination services
  • Absence from Work Certificates
  • Screening and risk assessment

Please note: These additional services will need to be fully accredited under the next pharmacy accreditation assessment. It is important to consider completing this process under re-accreditation if assessment is due soon, to save paying an extra fee and completing the administration twice. Completing assessment

All Expansion of Services assessments are submitted through the QCPP Customer Portal under the Expansion of Services tab in the Your Pharmacy Details section.

Multiple pharmacy services may be included in a single assessment, however all required evidence for each service must be uploaded.

All evidence requirements will be listed in the assessment questions online in the QCPP Customer Portal. Examples of evidence may include copies of pharmacy policies and procedures, training qualifications, details of the equipment used or photographs of the service delivery area.

Upon submission of the required evidence, an invoice will be generated and emailed to the pharmacy. Payment is required to finalise the application. Please see the Fees page for the cost of this assessment.
