World Quality Day

World Quality Day is tomorrow (9 November 2017), and represents an opportunity to brush up on the upcoming updates to the Quality Care Pharmacy Program (QCPP).

In the spirit of continuous improvement, QCPP has recently undergone some changes to make the QCPP Requirements less complex and grant pharmacies greater continuity, while also making the requirements more flexible, robust and customised.

One of the key changes is that assessment will focus on quality outcomes and alignment with professional standards, guidelines and regulations.

The enhanced QCPP Requirements assess AS85000 Quality Care Pharmacy Standard – a quality management system for pharmacies in Australia in a way which provides greater flexibility for your pharmacy business to innovate and grow.
Importantly, while the QCPP Requirements will look different, getting ready for assessment will be business as usual. Accredited pharmacies won’t need to make significant changes to their Operations Manual (policies and procedures).

Why not share your QCPP accreditation with your patients and customers on social media? Use the hashtag #WQD17 and tell your followers how your Quality Care Pharmacy Accreditation benefits your community.
