World Quality Week is a great time to recognise our QCPP accredited community pharmacies and the work you do to contribute to the wellbeing of your patients and customers.

What to expect after your assessment
Have you completed your assessment week and are unsure on what to do next?

Your Interim Report will be sent to you within 14 days of your final assessment day. This will include notification of corrective actions which will be available to work on closing out as soon as your report is issued.

Register a change of ownership with QCPP

Have you recently purchased a QCPP accredited pharmacy?

Ensure that you register yourself as the new owner of the business so that our records are up to date.

The QCPP support team will be in touch within 2 business days to confirm the change of ownership via email once this action has been processed.

Common Corrective Actions
We have compiled a list of common corrective actions that have come up in recent assessments. To learn more about closing our your corrective actions, complete the Corrective Actions Short Course on the QCPP website.
CPR Certificates
CPR and First Aid certificates need to be renewed with differing regularity.

CPR Certification must be completed annually to ensure your training meets current standards and your certificate is up to date.

First Aid Certificates are valid for 3 years, but CPR is not included in this.
Cold Chain Certificates
Ensure that your pharmacy is certifying your dispensary refrigerators every 2 years at minimum.

The following entities can certify dispensary refrigerators:
  • The Cold Chain Testing Centre
  • Some refrigerator manufacturers
  • An Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC) licensed refrigerator technician
During a pharmacy’s assessment week, the cold chain certificate must be current to be deemed compliant.

Temperature recording
Ensure that the maximum and minimum temperatures of your pharmacy’s dispensary refrigerator must be recorded twice daily to maintain compliance in your pharmacy.

The following evidence must be provided to demonstrate the implementation of technology failure mitigation and temperature monitoring:
  • Records of twice daily minimum and maximum (am & pm) temperature monitoring for at least the previous 4 weeks prior to the date of submission
  • A written explanation of the cascading system of notifying relevant staff members when temperatures are out of range
  • Documented evidence that, minimum and maximum temperature monitoring is occurring at least twice daily (am & pm)

Update your details on the Customer Portal
